Why we built it

Most people who need a teleprompter need it for ten minutes: a product demo, a course lesson, a wedding toast, a talking-head video for work. Yet the usual options ask for an app download, an account, a subscription, or an upload of your script to someone else's server before you can read a single line.

We wanted the opposite: open a page, paste your words, and start. Everything that can happen on your own device should happen there — including the video you record.

What we believe

• Your words stay yours. Scripts, settings and recordings are stored in your browser, not on our servers. We cannot read them, and we do not need to.
• No sign-up to start. The teleprompter works the moment the page loads. An account should never be the price of reading a script.
• A free plan that is actually useful. Scrolling, formatting, mirroring, recording and exporting are free. Voice-controlled scrolling is free up to a generous monthly limit.
• Plain language about limits. When a feature depends on your browser — like speech recognition — we say so, and we explain what that means for your privacy in our Privacy Policy.

How it works

• Write or paste your script. Format it with bold, color and font size so cues stand out when you read.
• Prompt at your pace. Set a steady scroll speed, adjust the reading line, mirror the text for beam-splitter glass, or go fullscreen.
• Let your voice lead. Voice scroll listens as you speak and keeps the text in step with you, so you can pause, ad-lib and pick up again.
• Record in the browser. Capture camera and microphone while you read. The recording is saved on your device and you decide when to download or delete it.
• Organize with workspaces. Keep several scripts and their takes side by side, and export them whenever you like.

How AIteleprompter is funded

There are no ads and we do not sell data. The project is funded by people who buy a one-time Lifetime Supporter license, which removes the monthly limit on voice scroll. Everything else stays free for everyone.

Privacy, in one paragraph

Your scripts and recordings never leave your device unless you export them. We only receive what you choose to send us — a feedback message, or a license key to validate — plus anonymous usage statistics if you allow them. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
